Last poem for April's Poetry Month. |
| Expensive jewelry does not make a sincere woman The newest dress does not tell her real worth A day at the spa is just a diversion And the car she drives hides her bulky girth. She cannot cook or boil a simple egg Her mind is full of self gratifying dreams The only exercise she does is going shopping When the day is over, life's only a pipe dream. Smart men seem to see through this glass facade They need a friend, an equal who they can trust Someone who will show compassion to people around them And her nice personality is not just an outer crust. And for women, the advice be no phony, just yourself It takes courage to lower your personal blockade But in the long run the good men will seek you later And will give you respect and admiration that will not fade. |
