A poem of realization one a weekend getaway

You brought light into my darkness and showed me the stars in the heavens.
You burned the thorns,
scaled the wall,
Slayed the great dragon
To kiss the lips of my sleeping heart.
You tamed the wild wars.
Soothed my wounds
in salves I've never known.
The embrace of peace
You possess chases away
My deep seated fears,
Filling up the holes
Of neglect of many years.
