April's Joy

April is a month filled with warmer temperature and the renewal of life.

The cool air touched my skin as I walked outside that early April morning.
The sun had just appeared above the horizon
Clouds were floating away and the sky would be clear.
Sounds of the geese coming to the pond broke the silence.
I could see little buds on the trees as I walked by.
I knew that small animals, who had been in hibernation were waking up.
Babies would be conceived and later born.
Gentle showers would moisten the dry soil.
Flowers would bloom with colors that any painter would admire.
The fragrance of flowers and fresh cut grass would bring a smile to my lips.
This is the masterpiece of Spring.
It is a combination of sight, sounds and smells
that make me want to stay outside and
absorb the beauty and essence of April's announcement,
"All is alive. All is well. Come. Sit. And enjoy."
