At the beginning of my life

At the beginning of my life
Was a dream that haunted me
Until finally she came to me
Walking out of my dreams
Into my life
Ending my loneliness behind

For many years
My brothers and I
Hated each other
Were in constant conflict
But lately, we have finally
Overcame that
And are at peace
With each other

As we withdraw from the hate
Connecting to each other
The hatred and confusion
Leading to a new clarity

Stopping the hate
That has kept us apart
Starting a new relationship
Of friendship
Late in life
