Teardrops

Tears coming down unwillingly

I squeeze my eyes shut tight
as tears run down my face
I try with all my might
but they won't stay in place

with no good reason why
except my troubled mind
despite how hard I try
they always seem to find

a way to reach my lips
and drip down off my chin
and if the past predicts
the teardrops just might win
