A poem written for The Bard’s Hall contest. |
Dearest Cupid you think you’re smart Firing darts in someone’s heart. You aren’t aware you’re such a fool A stupid Cupid who knows not the rule. So put on some clothes, don’t flash your ass, Go on a diet, at least show some class. Get with the times, check out Tinder Folks don’t need you to light up that cinder. They don’t wait for their hearts to be struck Rely on you for their pairing luck. No one is waiting for your arrival Or depend on you for love’s survival Just a swipe to left or right Ensures an afternoon’s delight So why don’t you take this kind advice? Think once or twice or even thrice. It’s time at last to be retired Your service is no more required. 18 lines |
