These rights they gave

Go vote young man, it’s your first time
Know that many people had to die
To give you all of your rights.

Politicians run the nation, their hands held out
Your brothers and sisters die in foreign lands
These many people pay the ultimate price.

The ribbons that adorn their chest
Is not the reason that they fight
We are the reason they fight both you and I.
