Silver Linings

A poem based on Proverbs 12:25. Lighthouse Poetry contest entry.

Quarantine
six months
   of anxiety,
half a year
   of depression.
But
also,
six months
   of my heart swelling,
half a year
   of being home for family dinners.
God’s word
   provides perspective,
   silver linings,
   and reasons to be glad.
