Past, Present, Future

I sit and think about the past,
memories that won’t let me rest,
as if to say to my weary soul,
there’s still lessons to be learned.

I reflect on the present,
searching for guidance on my path,
refusing to give up on life,
I begin to make the plans I want.

I look to the future ahead,
full of hopes and dreams,
mirroring the person I hope to be,
I will welcome the chance to grow.

My past, present, future –
all combined to make me who I am,
the strong woman I have become,
as I use all I’ve learned to help others.

There is wisdom to be found,
lessons to be gleaned from,
grace to be freely given out –
in the past, present, future.
