Brotherly Love

If someone says, “I love God” and hates his brother he is a liar. 1 John 4:20


too blunt?

         too harsh?

                   too plain?

                             too bold?



when God comes in

         the devil goes out

when love comes in

         hate goes out

those born from above

         will love all people



(Jesus loved the unlovely)



we will not love all things

         that people do

we will not love all things

         that believers do



(we will love the person)



God also has imputed a bond

         between believers

not phileo adelphos - but agape love

         for we will be with Him forever

Prompt: I would like to see how God speaks to you about brotherly love. In today's world it is needed, let us pen a verse of how we can change the world by showing our brotherly love to others. Use verse John 13:34 or 1 John 4:20 as your guidelines. You may use parts of the verse if you wish, but it has to have brotherly love in it. Use "Brotherly Love" in your poem and highlight it in grape, so you're not disqualified.
