for the lighthouse poetry contest prompt: brotherly love |
| Prompt: Brotherly love “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another: as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. John 13:34 line count: 16 lines For The Love Of Jesus By Lisa Noe Jesus taught us to love one another, To treat each man as if he’s your brother. Be he black, brown, red, yellow, or white. Kiss his cheek, do not smite. Share with him your bread and your home, Show him that your love is full-blown. Take what he gives and turn the other cheek, Be strong in your faith, do not weep. Brotherly love is the backbone of our way, Share it with neighbors, friends, and say… I love you in Christ, you are my brother and sister, Sharing your love is more than a whisper. Shout out the name of Jesus the Savior, This is the King who has perfect behavior. He teaches us all about love, Which comes from the Father above. Author's Note: I tried to bold it in purple but for some reason, it is not working, so I just bolded it. I hope it is okay. |
