A Better Place?

Am I asleep or awake. alive or dead?

When I was young.
I used to fall asleep behind the wheel.
Losing time, having no recognition of where I was.
I sometimes wonder if I actually died and all this is a dream.
My life just being played behind these eyes.
Just waiting for darkness to shut the lights off.
