Dear Father

Dear Father, you deserve more than a thank you...

For all the advice you whispered in my ear;
For all the times you combed my hair.
Even though you are not the best at certain things,
You were the one who helped me spread my wings.
I know I'm not perfect
Nor am I the most obedient,
But I know you will always be lenient.
So, dear Father, even though you weren't physically there for when I grew,
You are in my heart and for that I say:
