Broken person

Shattered



I could not speak

My voice was held down captive

I have been stripped down to my bare bones

Ripped apart over and over

Screaming but nothing comes out

I have been tainted

The darkness hovers over me

Shattered pieces of me scattered

Everywhere

As I slowly grow courage and re-paint

My pieces back together

And create a new me

With cuts and bruises

I slowly peel away the darkness

And mold myself into my newness
