Musings at Work 1

It's always there
on the edge of my consciousness
gnawing into my brain.

There is no escape
No matter where I turn
I can feel it draining my soul.

I pray for sweet relief
but my prayers remain unanswered
no relief is to be had.

For the love of God
Christmas is over
Turn off the damn Christmas music.
