This ain't Frosty

I built a snowman, gave him a name
hoping He'd be like frosty, but he wasn't the same.
He had branches for arms
and around his head, I placed a golden charm.
I used coal for eyes and a carrot for a nose
the poor little man had no toes.
but woe is me the charm brought him to life
He then came after me with a butcher's knife.
I screamed out and began to run
then from thin air, he pulled a gun.
Help I yelled, but it did no good.
I was to be snowman food.
