This poem was meant for anyone that has a special place they go to |
| ( Our Secret Place ) Hands entwined we walked side by side My eyes gazed into yours, emotions they cried The wind blowing softly, it tattered your hair My fingers went through it, I could feel the despair Tears fell motionless, they weathered your cheeks Your head against my chest, your sanity it speaks We sat down eagerly, water trickling past our feet You whispered in my ear, the words felt so sweet Birds sang gingerly, as thoughts entered our mind I pressed firmly on your shoulders, helping unwind The fresh air felt amazing, our hearts needed healing We both took deep breaths, perplexed by the feeling Sitting for hours, our minds stayed so focused Holding each other tight, then both of us noticed The pain was all gone, we both had Gods grace Once again we beat the battle, in our secret place © Gregory Paul 01/04/2020 |
