Success, higher mating, a channeled resolve,
But living as lovers, a deal we must solve.

A blessed engagement to stake out a claim
A purpose, this union, a striving for shame.
The truth felt, proposed, a function of strength
But many times, vision, just stretched out in length.

For every sweet darling, a plan for a pause,
A happy go-getter despite all the cause.
Society’s privilege lays welcome - still reached,
A life truly splendid, and family well preached.
