The truth is mine from my perch above
I see it all
that which is whole
that which is fractured
Always told how to follow
never shown how to lead
I see you lost in the haze
but you don’t yet know
numbly listen,
hypnotically gaze
So sorry, wish I could help
the lost souls whom I view
from my perch of safety
above the fake world
I’m sorry, there is no mercy
I cannot change hearts
nor stubborn misled minds
I’m sadly sorry I
can’t save you
another child lost
tugged by a power
hypnotized to lie,
allowed to cheat
sneak a peek, as
I float naked before you
You gawk
at a mere toy
viewed for joy
in your virtual world
you’ll never accept the truth
that you are pre-programmed to die
