A chance encounter that changes you for the better. |
| How would I describe you if I was the poetic type If I could let words leap into flight You see I was traveling lost in the night Eyes adjusted again to the dark Skin numb with the familiar chill Stumbling about in the woods somewhere far When out of nowhere, a most unexpected sight A bright flame of fire The inviting warm glow drew me close Quickly, I admit, it lead to desire The longer I stayed, the more I wanted to know Let me describe it another way: Rainbows can’t exist in a world of black and white With you around, my colors were coming back to life No longer trapped in a world of gray Sad thing about rainbows, they don’t stay The fleeting moments I tried to take in Knowing the darkness was out prowling Returning to the cold I cannot fully say For I stole an ember as the fire went out And yes it still glows bright, even today How long it might last, that too I wonder now |
