The Hermit’s Tale

When Amilcar heard the call and went to the mountain, he was 18 years old. He climbed the mountain and settled into a suitable cave in which to meditate. Followers came to bring gifts and ask questions. By the time he turned 30, the stream of enquiring visitors had become a flood. The next year, he left the cave and climbed another mountain. There has got to be peace somewhere, he reasoned.
