Running Away

Fighting off sadness as my deceased Mother's birthday approaches

As the weekend creeps closer and closer, I can feel my mind shutting down and blocking out Saturday, June 1, 2019.

Why, do you say? It would be my Mother's 102nd birthday and the brain has game!

I guess that is why every year at this time, I get super busy finding things that occupy that space in my mind -- yep -- running away.

At least my heart only bleeds twice a year -- her birthday and her death!
