Experience I've lived through

Each day I wake,
But is it real?
I take my pills,
But will they heal?

The world was pain
With naught to gain.
I longed for days
Of numbness and dark.

I do what I'm told
And I feel old.
How much longer
Will the pain last?

I'm dying and scared.
I scream silently.

How he heard
I've not a clue.
Our meeting was
