hii, my name is evie & i have borderline personality disorder

my therapist always smiles
if i’m sad, if i’m afraid, if i’m happy
today she is not smiling
she takes my hands
they’re cold & her wedding ring is blinding
she says my diagnosis was wrong
says my pills won’t help
& that i’ve been enrolled into a program

i suspected this was coming
i’ve always known, really
all the symptoms were there
all the telltale signs
this was nothing more than a formality
let it be schizophrenia
let it be fucking cancer
anything but this
