“Be of good courage,” Thus, my heart is convinced Yet why do I still quake? And trouble makes me wince? How can I profess that my faith is real When my trust in Him is small? When my journey has no zeal Fleeing every trial, too afraid to fall But though my steps falter And His will I fail to know Though my confidence waver I have nowhere else to go And in the dark, the Word speaks “From His people, the Lord will not depart, “Draw near, those who are weak, “And He shall strengthen your heart,” “All you who hope in the Lord, “Through you His might is poured, “His Spirit shall be your sword, “To make you better than before.” I pray that ‘til the end of days, He’ll be my final treasure And that the walking in His ways Will one day be a pleasure Free verse Poem; 24 Lines Prompt: Psalm 31:24 |
