The contests have been helping me improve my writing skills. I have always had a creative, and imaginative mind. So, story ideas have always come fairly easy. The harder part for me was execution. Making the story come alive with words. Although I enjoy making what I like to call word art, I know I have a long way to go before I can become a published author.
