REASONING BEHIND THE POEM ▶︎

This is now the sequel to my other poem, Mangled Mistakes
(https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/240072828/) I was low key rejected by someone I used to date at a dance the other night. I asked him to dance and he just looked at me and said, "Haven't you gotten the message?". He walked away and I sat in the same spot drinking coke for two hours.
I'll add more to this when I feel better.

There’s a wall between us now
The door was sealed
There’s no telling how

Not even a goodbye
Not even a word
Not even a sorry
Not even a regret

Why did I even fall for you
When you wouldn’t
Be there to pick
Me back up.
