When you are down
And life is too short;
Tomorrow is too long
To wait for.

When an hour
Is eternity;
And a tear
Is a mighty river;

When sleep is longed for
But never comes;
When the jagged edges
Of your heart make you bleed;

You are dying now
But never lose hope;
To survive, you must be
Strong in the broken places.
