Sun Worshippers

Flaming orbs of pure spun gold
Ablaze in my garden.
Each summer’s morn, their lovely heads
Turn to face the sun and follow it
On its journey west.
Faces, that brighten any landscape,
Make the other flora pale
By comparison.
Lifting their petals toward Heaven,
These beautiful sun worshipers dance
To and fro in the light breeze;
Undulations choreographed by God.
