Entry in Story Poem Contest for I Write in 2018 |
| Sally Salamander slithered as I opened my garage The door appeared to frighten her After all, it is quite large Lightning fast, she slides along concrete floor into the cracks Her day's a mystery beckoning until there came my neighbor's cats A tabby and a black feline They prowl and scan my yard No respect have they for property Salamander supper in their cards? Run Sally! Head for freedom! Escape this cunning catly crew! Sally lies quite clever hiding now - She's safe inside my shoe! This poem is entered in: "A Story-Poem Contest!!!" for I Write in 2018. |
