Unexpected Delights

Unexpected delights:
that first dafodill
when the weather's been cold and miserable--
yet those sunny heads bud, and finally,
one blooms and I can't help but smile.

Magical moments:
when serindipity smiles
and the scattered comes together;
surprising and giving you
that inner satisfaction.

Heart warmers:
waking up and smelling coffee brewing
as he brings me a cup as I stand
and stretch out a good night's sleep.
Wishing me good morning with a kiss.

Little things
that make up our lives,
that keep us going and give
us those reasons to go on.
Think I'll bake him an angel food cake tonight.
