The cruel beast that stole her heart
He’s charming, so funny, and smart
Treats her well, so gentle and kind
Fates intervened, the stars aligned

A romance blooms right from the start
The cruel beast that stole her heart
The couple inseparable
No challenge irreparable

She was certain they were heading
Toward engagement and a wedding
The cruel beast that stole her heart
Effects a sudden, swift depart

He cheats and leaves her on her own
To sort the pieces all alone
Her whole life undone, come apart
The cruel beast that stole her heart
