Writer's Cramp

Today I wrote my publisher
for the price of one small stamp.
My writing has slowed down a bit
with a case of writer's cramp.

Most authors never admit it
when their deadlines loom so near,
and much like someone in the dark,
all the words become unclear.

In the end they"ll find the pen
as the flow of thoughts begin
for every writer knows so well,
the pen must always win.
