This poem is actually an argument between my mother and grandmother. I find it amusing. |
| At the table sat a cat, A dog, And one little mouse. The cat was old and tired. No longer did it listen, For the furry feline couldn't hear! It had thrown out many manners, And did as it wished. Of course, To the humble hound's dismay. Bark, Bark! Hiss, Hiss! Ah! There go the dog and cat again. Quitely the mouse sat, Watching with wonder and worry. But this is the way. Dogs and cats cannot play. |
