All we have is today and all we really need is today

TODAY!
today is gone
it won't be back
so let us just
give thanks for that
it may have been good
it may have sad
it might have been
the best today you've ever had
but let's give thanks
and let's move right on
'cause tomorrow brings
another morn
another day to do your best
another day to maybe past a test
its really all you need, one day
to make amends
and maybe replay
the joys, the laughs, the plans of yesterday
just take a breath
and enjoy today
it never stays
no matter what
it's over now
so give thanks for that
