Saint Anne's is burning like a sacrificial flash grenade A beacon for the derelict who passively parade Her fleet may be eroded but the flagship still remains Always save the cross and forever shake the chains Plot the new coordinates with my sextant and a flare Offer me salvation from this toxic cocaine prayer Measure all transgressions in the lines of faith and rage They are the shining rivets of my tempered steel cage Acknowledge my hypocrisies in form letters addressed Label each one faithfully for sins not yet confessed And sharpen my perspective as a Christian Neo-realist Unrepentant for the viewpoints of a social class idealist |
