Gone Forever

Poem I wrote after my counsellor ended our sessions. Funding stopped. I am depressed :(

You're gone forever
I don't know how ill cope
You're the one who gave me hope
You stopped me cutting
I thought you were bluffing
When you said goodbye
I need you back
You're the only one I trust

Crying every night
It's only been a few days
It's like my life is a playwright
It's a matinee

You're my safe place
You can't be replaced.
You know too much about me,
the one who holds the key.

My secrets, my thoughts,
It's like a loss,
I'm grieving for someone who is still alive,
I don't know how I will survive.

You're the one I'm yearning for,
How do I get over you?
This depression, this sadness,
It's madness!

We had a connection,
But now you're gone forever.
