Where is the storm? What does it do? FOR CRAMP |
Written for a "The Writer's Cramp" prompt, to use the following words in a story or poem: Autumn Leaves Hurricane aftermath Power outage flooding recovery When there's a flooding of emotions, Words fall -- like Autumn leaves, All the anger, sadness, frustration All the year's grudges and peeves. These are unleashed on friends and family With no thought for another's feeling They leave the heart and soul drained They set the mind reeling. It's like a Hurricane of sound, It brings destruction in its wake It drains anyone of happiness Like a power outage, for goodness' sake! It creates darkness and fear And in its aftermath It makes near ones wary Of facing such ominous wrath. But, love wins over And reader, don't you worry When anger meets compassion There's always complete recovery. |
