A poem that I made for a class about a first date (this one is made up, but you get it). |
| Sunrise Snow falls My hands stuck to the wheel Journey plays on our journey Nobody can catch us now Midday Trail mix jumps in my pocket 154 at the start. 28 now. Gone when we get there Snow trembles and breaks beneath our feet Sunset We’re baptized in warmth from the cabin It only gets hotter The fire roars and moans The wood smells sweet, even when charred Nightfall The world is quiet. Save for the woodlands Louder than we thought Movies are a lie We always made more noise though Midnight Wrapped in sheets, skin, and stars Taste of the eclipse still in my mouth Gold and Silver making Platinum Is this real? Yes. Twilight Snow glowing pink Our footprints tell the tale From the cabin to the lodge For breakfast and small talk Sunrise The wheels roll home And I have to say Leibniz was right This is the best world |
