I'm just so overwhelmed
I don't know what to say
The phrase 'thank you' doesn't
Cover what I feel today.

You came to the hospital
You brought me stuff
You calmed my nerves
When I had had enough.

You talked for hours
On the phone, each day
You were the moral support
For me, you did pray.

You held my hand
You guided me toward
My own confidence
Yes, you pulled me forward.

You made me laugh
When I was about to cry
You didn't let me give up
You made me get up and try.

You listened calmly
When I was agitated
You soothed my anger
The times I got frustrated.

You have been my teddy bear
You've been my brick wall
You've been my backbone
You haven't let me fall.

I don't how to express it
I'm just so glad that we met
And though I can't find the words
Please know -- I'll never forget.
