Parents

A poem about the different kinds of parents, including my own.

Being a parent is never easy
At least that's what I'm told
But there are different ways of parenting
For the young and old
Some try to be their children's friends
And let them do whatever they like
Others try to be far more strict
Controlling their kids to extreme heights
Me, my parents always saw
It can't just be either way
That you need balance in parenting
Make sure both sides have a say
