Father's Day poem for Grandpa Frank |
| I never saw Grandpa wear Levis®, or any other brand of blue jeans; he always wore khakis to church. He wore overalls to work, and on his days off when he cleaned out the chicken coop or weeded the garden. I don't think Grandpa owned a pair of denims. He was raised on a farm at a time when you had only two types of clothing: overalls for work and Sunday-go-to-meeting clothes for dress-up occasions and funerals. Line Count: 17 Form: Free verse. |
