The Day Technology Died

Some say it was a meteor
that passed too close to Earth.
Some say it was a U.F.O.
from space, for what it’s worth.

It really didn’t matter much
to all the troubled teens
who suddenly thought they went blind
from staring at their screens.

Technology no longer worked
and they were forced to talk.
Their schools were still in session
but now they had to walk!

With no T.V.s or computers
they had to learn to read.
With no keyboards and no spell check
pen and paper filled their need.

The world went back to basics
but it wasn’t a disaster.
In time they learned to cope and
lived happily thereafter.
