Love Grows Old

Just thinking about how love changes and how it may be defined

Love grows old or so I'm told
The flame has to be rekindled
Fire burns or so I've learned
There are things I need to remember
And why does love seem based on gender
Is there time to refresh the mind or do we forget the splendor
Most of all and this seems small
I may never really have loved at all
