5th poem for NaNoWriMo. I wrote this one just after that tragic day.

Lady Liberty

Twin towers standing tall
No one thought they would ever fall

Lady Liberty by their side
Watching over with great pride

As terror came from the sky
Lady Liberty started to cry

She bowed her head in a prayer
Asking for help with great care

And help did come from every place
Lady Liberty can show her face

She has many allies and many friends
The ties that bind have no ends

Justice will soon be served some day
There's nothing the enemy can do or say

Those responsible will greatly fall
For Lady Liberty continues to stand tall
