This poem is about our summer that has been eluding us on the Kapiti Coast, Wellington. |
| We had our summer on a Sunday in late January. Served in waffle cones, the salty caramel readily blended with the briny breeze. On a Sunday in late January we sampled a taste of summer. Seagulls swirled and stole the discarded dream laughing, languishing as if they knew our summer on a Sunday in late January had melted away. |
