I said goodbye to you today
You were my soulmate for 11 years
I did in the old fashion way
I threw in the dirt with tears.

My heartbreak knows no way to mend
My tears will forever flow
Death's will just would not bend
It dealt us a terrible blow.

I had to put you in the ground
You will never leave my heart
I know that now peace for you is found
You are where joy does not depart.

I must now move on with my life
I will always miss you my wife.
