Written in memory of a lost loved one.

My dear angel, are you there?

The pain is now too much to bear.

Take me to the place you've set aside

For my broken heart to go and hide.

It's all falling down, my world that I know

Falling all around me, so fast yet so slow.

People and things are not as they seem

It's all make-believe, it's all just a dream.

But happiness isn't here and love so few.

I live in a cloud colored by pain

No silver linings, rainbows, or joy to gain.

It's cold and lonely sitting here all alone

I yearn for that place where I can feel at home.

Can you take me to that place far away?

I can't wait much longer, you must take me today.

Let me run in the fields with the wind in my hair

Let me sit by the brook and take in the air.

Let me make a home to call my own

Where I will never be sad and feel all alone.

Let me count the stars as the quiet night falls

And sleep on a cloud when the sandman calls.
