I have come to really appreciate the painters, who show Joseph as a truly involved father.

Mary was the virgin vessel of Messiah's birth.

Yet, Joseph was Jesus' Earthly mentor, under whom Jesus apprenticed as a carpenter.

No doubt The LORD chose Joseph for the skills he had to offer Jesus, during the Savior's Earthly sojourn.

Joseph was more than a devoted bystander during the Earthly life of The Christ.
Joseph was the hands-on loving Earthly father of Jesus, the Everlasting Father.
