Poem about the impact of humans on the earth

Just like they said it would be!
Humans are monsters.
Humans can be angels.
Humans think they are gods.

We came, we saw, we destroyed.
Our intelligence spurred by the urge
To fight, to capture, to dominate

Gave us wings.
Wings of desire take us ever higher.
Now the satellite in the sky can tell

Us where to drive,
Where to bomb,
Where the most people

Or the worst in our eyes will die.
Humans foul their nests.
Humans in their hubris give their best

To fight, to capture, to dominate
Until all others are dead.
Then what? Big flood
And maybe start again. 26/11/2016
